Karl Zwicker

Karl Zwicker is the head of Purchasing Strategy, Process and Systems at MAN. He graduated in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the Technische Hochschule Darmstadt in 1990. After that, he did a one-year-Post-Graduate-Study in aeronautics at the Von-Karman-Institute in Brussels. Karl Zwicker started his career in the aeronautical industry in 1991 and changed soon to car industry as an aerodynamic engineer in several functions at Audi, Volkswagen and BMW. In 2000, he built up the implementation of aerodynamics at MAN Truck and Bus (MTB). In 2003, he moved to process management heading a project for improvement of PEP at MTB and became the Head of Development Management at Heavy Trucks and later on Manager for Product-planning and Process development at MTB. In 2009 he was awarded Head of Quality Management Process at MTB for all product branches and in 2010 as Vice President for Corporate Quality Assurance. From the 1st of April 2011 he was nominated Vice President Supplier Management within the Purchasing Department of MTB. In 2013, this changed to Purchasing Cost, Processes and Support, where he was awarded Director in 2014. He currently lives in Munich/Germany with his family (wife, two children). Karl Zwicker is born on the 24th of January in 1965 in Würzburg, Germany.
